Equine Therapy Scholarship

During her 5 years of treatment, Brynn found healing and joy through therapeutic horseback riding sessions at The Shea Center. Her time there offered more than just time on a horse—it gave her confidence, freedom, and moments of pure happiness in the midst of her cancer journey.

We want to give other kids and teens the opportunity to be a part of something outside the hospital walls and that is why we created the Equine Therapy Scholarship.

The Shea Center is a nationally recognized therapeutic riding facility that provides equine-assisted services to children and adults with physical, developmental, and emotional challenges. Their compassionate staff and specially trained horses create a space where healing happens in powerful, unexpected ways—just as it did for Brynn.

Our scholarship provides 10-weeks of lessons at The Shea Center in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The scholarship is for the Shea Center’s Equine-Assisted Learning Program, which involves “certified professionals leveraging learning activities that promote the development of life skills for educational, professional, and personal goals through equine-assisted activities.”

Applicants must be at least 6 years of age to participate in the Equine-Assisted Learning Program.
